Scope of the Journal

Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters is an international journal dedicated to the dissemination of fundamental knowledge in all areas of cellular and molecular biology, certain aspects of biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology. Regular papers and short communications that contain new and significant information of general interest to workers in these fields are welcome. Sufficient detail must be included to enable others to repeat the work. The journal also invites timely reviews and mini reviews. Particularly welcome are papers dealing with:

• Cell cycle and its regulation
• Cell differentiation
• Stem cells
• Cell traffic and signalling
• Gene expression regulation
• Cellular membranes
• Cytoskeleton
• Molecular biotechnology

Papers interdisciplinary in character, review articles and comments are also welcome. Experimental, methodological or theoretical contributions are accepted. Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters will accept original papers from any country concisely written in English and in a final form. They may be Full Papers or Short Communications. The latter should be not longer than eight printed pages. Reviews should not exceed 20 pages.

Manuscripts are accepted for review with the understanding that no substantial portion of the study has been published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that its submission for publication has been approved by all the authors and by the institution where the work was carried out. A signed letter of submission should be faxed or posted by regular mail. Manuscripts that do not meet the general criteria or standards for publication in Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters will be returned to the authors, without detailed review. As soon as possible after submission, authors are asked to send the Transfer of Copyright Agreement to the Editorial Office

Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters will publish free of charge black-and-white advertisements and announcements about scientific events such as conferences, workshops and courses. For details, please contact the Editorial Office. Commercial advertisements (printed version only) are welcome at a special rate of 200 EUR (800 PLN) per full page and 120 EUR (500 PLN) per half page. The actual prices will be available from the Editorial Office.
